Alternate Versions: There be a high-speed shot in before print of the motion icon theater showing the director's evaluation of "Patch Adams", where on earth we see the prophecy hype the director's cut. This shot can nonetheless be see by the intro to the DVD menu, and in one of the trailer.
CONT: At the Bengie's Drive-In, Cecil pushes the film groupie out of the room and shuts the door after him. In the next shot, he is still there, and in the shot after he is gone., CONT: A moment before Cecil licks the movie camera, the word "Panavision" can clearly be seen above the "Panaflex" logo that he licks. When it cuts to the close-up of him licking the "Panaflex" logo, the "Panavision" logo is covered with a blank plate that matches the color of the camera. In the next clear shot of the camera, the "Panavision" logo is back and the "Panaflex" logo is covered in black., CONT: In the chase scene with the Baltimore PD, the left front tire of the police cruiser is shot causing it to go flat and the cruiser to crash into a movie theater box office. As the cruiser slams into the box office, the tire has miraculously been re-inflated., SYNC: In an early scene before Honey is escorted to the premiere, Ricki Lake's character says "We'll be right with you," but her lips don't move., FAKE: In the scene where the crew take over Forrest Gump 2, a hand grenade is thrown. The explosion occurs prematurely, before the grenade leaves view., FAKE: You can see Melanie Griffith's real hair coming out from under the blonde wig in the scene where her roots are getting treated (the same scene where the whole crew learns of the Forest Gump sequel)., GEOG: After the Sproket Holes kidnap Honey, they leave the Senator Theatre, make a left in the next shot, then pass a Wendy's restaurant. That Wendy's is located on York Road in Govans, south of the Senator. They would not need to have turned. The two shots (the turn and the Wendy's) should have been reversed., FAKE: When they set Honey's hair on fire when atop of the building at the drive in theater, she's obviously wearing a badly-disguised wig/prosthetic in the wide shots.
Crazy Credits: The credits thank "Fred and Ginger" both insinuating Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, the dance duo, and "Fred e Ginger" a movie by Federico Fellini, paying homage to the duo.
Cherish: All my directors fuck me.::Cecil: I am not all your directors! I am Cecil B. Demented!, Sniffles: Nobody here but us whackers., Honey: How can you be a drug addict in the new millennium, Lyle? Drugs are so retro.::Lyle: Before I became a drug addict, I had so many problems. Now I just have one - Drugs! It's given my life real focus., Cecil: I have a vision!, Fidget: Hey, hey MPAA, how many movies have you censored today?, [takes a big sip from a chalice]::Raven: It's goat's urine. Want some?, Cecil: Power to the people who punish bad cinema!, Cecil: Demented forever!, Cecil: Death to mainstream cinema!, Petie: Tell me about Mel Gibson's dick and balls!, Cecil: Action Fans! Help us!, Cecil: I am Cecil B. Demented! And this is a fucking kidnapping!, Rodney: I'm ashamed of my heterosexuality!, Honey: No! Please let me go! I promise I won't tell anyone about your little movie!::Cecil: Little?::Honey: I didn't mean, you know, *little*. I meant, you know, low-budget... ly cult., Raven: Pain is pleasure! Slavery is freedom! Suicide for Satan!, Cecil: Celibacy for celluloid!, Candy counter girl: Do you know Quentin Tarantino? I love his movies!::Cecil: No adlibbing! [fires gun], Dinah: Hey! We're not union! And we're takin' over this movie!, Cecil: I'm Cecil B. Demented, and you're in my movie. Do not look into the lens and ruin the shot or you will be shot., [filming a scene for "Raving Beauty"]::Honey: It's that fucking new multiplex that opened in the mall, isn't it?::Cherish: I heard they were sold out last night, mom.::Lyle: No, not for the Flinstones sequel...!, Cecil: No one gets laid until we've finished our movie. We're horny, but our film comes first!, [Raven introduces herself to Honey]::Raven: Hi, I'm Raven, I'm a Satanist and I'll be doing your make-up. [changes tone] You look so pale... [angrily slaps Honey, then turns sweet again] Sorry, but Satan says you need more color., Cherish: Porno Fans! It's me, Cherish! And I need your hardcore help!, Cecil: I'm a prophet against profit!, Honey: Raven, you know, you're a really pretty girl. You could escape from all of this madness.::Raven: Escape to what, Honey? I mean, my father is Zo-Zo, the three headed guard dog at the gate to hell.::Honey: Oh, I'm sorry to hear that., Honey: I am ready for my close-up, Mr. Demented., Cecil: Technique is nothing more than failed style., Cecil: [the camera operator has just been shot] Principal photography has been completed!, Honey: Family is just a dirty word for censorship., Cherish: We can fuck now?::Cecil: From here to Timbuktu!, Cecil: There are no rules in underground cinema, only edges., Fidget: No! I want to go home! I don't want to be in show business anymore!::Cecil: I knew you were the weak one, Fidget. Just remember, your parents liked Godzilla.::Lyle: They wouldn't even let you see R-rated films as a child.::Dinah: They've never even been to a midnight movie.::Chardonnay: They enjoy classic TV sitcoms turned into feature length films.::Cherish: They've never rented a porno movie.::Cecil: And to top it all off, they talk out loud in the theatre once the feature has begun.::Honey: Oh, that really is unforgivable, Fidget.::Fidget: Okay, okay! My parents are the enemies of film!

The theater in which Cecil B. Demented kidnaps Honey Whitlock is Baltimore's own Senator Theater, where 'John Waters (I)' (qv)' films premiere., The tattoos on the cast and crew are as follows: - Cecil - Otto Preminger - left forearm - Cherish - Andy Warhol - thigh - Lyle - Hershell Gordon Lewis - left breast - Pam - Sam Peckinpah - left arm - Chardonnay - Spike Lee - stomach - Lewis - David Lynch - knuckles - Fidget - William Castle - chest - Raven - Kenneth Anger - chest - Rodney - Almodovar (presumably Pedro) - right arm - Petie - Fassbinder - left forearm - Dyna - Sam Fuller - right forearm, John Waters wrote up the lyrics for the spoof rap songs on the soundtrack ("Bankable Bitch (We Don't Need No Pitch)," "No Budget", et al.) during the screenwriting phase, but the music supervisor couldn't find any rappers who were familiar with filmmaking lingo. Waters then met, quite by accident, Baltimore rap producer Steven Janis. Janis provided DJ Class and a number of other Baltimore-area rap artists, all of who had to be familiar with the pages of moviemaking terminology that Waters provided., The actual head of the Baltimore Film Commission appears in the sequence in which Honey Whitlock jumps off a building into the middle of a BFC press conference; he's one of the extras gagging on the oysters he's forced to eat by Cecil's band of terrorists., Most of he crew got sick while doing filming on the set of the Hippodrome theater. Many of the cast members, including Melanie Griffith, had pneumonia., 'John Waters (I)' (qv) had an interview with him published before this film was made in which the headline referred to him as "Cecil B. Demented". Waters thought the title was too good to pass up., The title of the film is a play on the name of the director/producer 'Cecil B. DeMille' (qv)., The drive-in theatre in the end of the movie is Bengies Drive In which is still in service and has been threatened to be shut down for almost 10 years but still keeps its business, The gun Cecil uses is the high powered Magnum Research/Israeli Military Industries Desert Eagle .50 AE., According to _This Filthy World (2006)_ (qv), 'John Waters (I)' (qv)' inspiration for this film came when Film Threat Magazine told its readers to attack the readers of Premier Magazine, and some did., 'Maggie Gyllenhaal' (qv) handpicked 'Jonathan Fiorucci' (qv) out of the extras to be the guy she makes out with in the film's climax. Director 'John Waters (I)' (qv) later found out that Fiorucci's mother and his own mother are friends, adding "that only happens in Baltimore.", The kidnapping of Honey Whitlock, who later joins her kidnappers' cause, is similar to the real-life story of how 'Patricia Hearst' (qv) was kidnapped by, and later joined, The Symbionese Liberation Army, in the 1970s. Hearst appears in the movie and has appeared in all of 'John Waters (I)' (qv)'s movies since _Cry-Baby (1990)_ (qv).
